Usually Taglocity is not able to find the correct contact to an email in the Taglocity pane.
It is possible to select the correct contact in the drop down list, but it seems, that this relation is not being saved.
When the email is re-selected the link to the correct address is lost again.

Therefore my suggestion to keep this link to show the correct contact information when selecting an email.
