Allow user to hide Twitter button.
Not all of us Twitter and it would be nice to hide the Twitter button on the Taglocity toolbar. This is important in a corporate environment, where it may be frowned upon to be Twittering on company time.
Status: completedWe have renamed the Twitter button to Status and now give users the choice to update their 'status' to Twitter or Taglocity Groups (well in the next beta drop that is). This is part of the philosophy of improving communication without contributing to email or inbox overload. I wonder if hiding the button would really limit people using Twitter for personal purposes on company time? I mean, what would stop people from un-hiding the button, or simply using other tools for Twittering if they want to? Opinions?

statistics
statistics on tag usage: number of emails (and email list) for each tag.
That will help management of tags (deletion of not used and so on).Status: completedWe have added a tag search feature in the tags tree in Configuration accessed via a right mouse click. This opens Taglocity Search so you can quickly see how many items are tagged with the tag (multiple tags - up to 5 at a time), and you can also see what the items are.
This feature will be released in the next beta drop (Sept 11 2009).

Have a 'send & delete' button when suggesting tags
G'day,
the tag suggestion box (which pops up when sending email that doesn't have tags auto applied) would become about 100 times more useful (as opposed to being mostly an annoyance) if it had a 'send & delete' button. Really really useful.
Status: completedThis is available now in version 3.0 www.taglocity.com/downloads.html
Thanks for the suggestion!

Extend 3.0beta conversations so they cover all msgs in outlook "group by conversation"
I sort my email box by "group by conversation." I place the Taglocity conversation viewer on the same screen, below my reading pane.
It doesn't happen often, but Outlook will occasionally group msgs together in the same conversation (and that should be in the same conversation), whi... More
Status: completedSimply check the "Show all with same subject" checkbox to match the way Outlook does it. Outlook uses in internal field called ConversationTopic for grouping conversations which is the normalized Subject (i.e. with the Re: and Fw: removed), which is what the "Show all with same subject" option does on the Taglocity Conversation Reader.
The side effect of this option, as well as the way Outlook does it, is that you can get messages from different conversations mixed up if they happen to have the same subjects.
If you don't use the "Show all with same subject" option, then Taglocity will only include in conversations email that comes from other Outlook clients (even if the subject is changed during the course of the conversation). Email that comes from other clients will not have the same internal conversation ID and therefore will be left out of the conversation view until you use the "Show all with the same subject" option.
Taglocity gives you the choice with a simple checkbox click so that you can decide which method to use on-the-fly.

Alphabetize the tag list would be useful
Alphabetize the tag list would be useful
Status: completedYou can already do this by opening Configuration, right clicking on the tag tree, and choosing one of the sort options.

Compatibility to Lookeen
Great job, Tagolcity team! I use Lookeen in a corporate environment to search our public folders (uncached). Now I want to use both add in together. Are there any known problems?
Status: completedNot that we know of. Do let us know if you experience any issues though.

add a quick-task/quick-calendar function that maintains tags
It would be nice if Taglocity had a feature that I've seen in the Take Back Your Life add-in, and I'm sure elsewhere, where you can create a task or appointment straight from an email. It would be particularly helpful if tags were maintained, so projects could stay most effectively organized.
Status: completedOne thing you can do now is set up a 'Tag Action' on a tag and put it to 'Create a Task' or 'Create an Appointment'. When you assign that tag then a task or appointment is created from the current message, plus the same set of tags applied.
It's common to see a tag like 'ToDo' placed on the 'Tag Bar', as that way you can create a quick task on the message with a single click/keypress.
Is that the sort of thing you wanted, or was it something a little different (as we'd like to know to help tune it etc).

Quick Tag - Option to Apply all Tags to Conversation
Right now, you can apply a single tag to a conversation. However, I find usally want to apply some or all of the tags to the conversation, so I have to do it one tag at a time, or group the Inbox/Sent folders by conversation and copy all tags.
SUGGESTION: allow multiple tags to be highlighted... More
Status: completedHi - good question.
You can right mouse in the background of the tagging area, i.e. away from any specific tags, and be able to use the 'Assign All to entire conversation' menu option.
Does that do what you want?

to tag contacts and tasks as well
Outlook turns the tags into categories which are used as well for tasks and contacts.
Unfortunately, Outlook does not have the convenient taglocity tag tree allowing for child tags support
Thus, working with categories on contacts and tasks in outlook soon becomes unmanageable !
In the long run, ... MoreStatus: completedYou can use the convenient Taglocity tag tree and tagger on Tasks and Contacts as well. We can't think of any reason you'd want to use Outlook's klunky category interface after you've used Taglocity for a while. Can you?

Add a keyboard shortcut per tag
That way I could do stuff like ALT-0 to add a common tag to a message etc.
Status: completedHave you seen the 'Tagbar' as this might do what you want it to do? If you go to Configuration / Tags and then tick the 'Show on Tag Bar' then each entry on the new toolbar gets a keyboard shortcut, i.e. pressing ALT - 1 will tag your current message without whatever you have assigned to the first button, and so on.
Is that ok?

Apply actions of a tag not only to incoming mails ...
... but also to outgoing mails. This would allow sent mails either to be moved to a follow-up folder, to a folder for later retrieving or to the trash, depending on my tag.
Status: completedThis feature already exists...here's how to turn it on: Open Configuration, click on Settings, look for Outlook Incoming Mail Folders, and add your Sent Items folder to the watch list. Please let us know if this works for you.

Create a button/function that works like PasteFormat in Word
If you select a message and click on the button, all of the tags from the selected message would be copied. If you then click on a second message, those tags would be "pasted" to the second message, replacing any tags that were attached to it.
As with Word/other MS Office apps, if you ... More
Status: completedThe ability to do this already exists. Click on a message that has tags, select all the tags in the tagger by clicking past the last tag and dragging to the beginning, press Ctrl + V to copy them, select one or more emails, click in the tagger and press Ctrl + C to paste the tags into the tagger, press Enter to assign the tags.

Automatic Tagging
Provide a way to automatically tag my emails, or provide some choices on what to do.
Status: completedThis feature is complete. It's called Tag Suggestions and automatically suggests tags when you send email without any tags. It can also be invoked at any time on any Outlook items.
We wrote something related at the Taglocity Blog here (and is too long to repeat in this little box):

Thanks for the suggestion.
