This Privacy Policy explains what information will be collected by Terazen Technology Inc. and how it will be used.
We will never sell or share your information with anyone except as described herein. By providing us your email address you agree to us sending you service related notices for marketing and promotional purposes.
Information We Collect
Terazen Technology Inc. collects your email address and other contact information when you create an account at www.taglocity.com. After Taglocity 2.0 for Outlook is activated, a copy of your tags collection and configuration information is saved with your online account for backup purposes and to allow synchronization between multiple computers such as a laptop and desktop. Automatic synchronization will take place only if you choose to sign in automatically.
When you contact us by email we might retain the content of your mail messages and our responses to you.
Taglocity uses a standard Internet technology called ‘cookies’ to store and track visitor information. A cookie is a small file that is saved on your computer that can be retrieved later for future visits to our site. Our cookies do NOT collect any personal information about you or any files from your computer. Session cookies are used to keep you logged in while you visit our site. When you access Taglocity.com a session log is saved on our server for a limited time which includes the license key, time/date of access and IP address.
Taglocity 2.0 for Outlook does not access your email or any other information managed by Outlook such as contacts, appointments, tasks, etc. for any purpose other than supporting its features such as tagging, searching, filtering, etc. Taglocity 2.0 for Outlook does not send or receive any Outlook information to Terazen Technology Inc. other than email purposefully sent by users for publishing to Taglocity Groups. About Taglocity Groups
The messages you publish to the Taglocity Groups you belong to is done so at your sole discretion and with explicit actions either by adding the group's email address to any address fields (To, CC, or BCC), or by using Taglocity's built-in Publish To drop-down list.
Your private emails and information will never be published automatically for group access. Only users belonging to groups can access the information in that group.
By publishing messages to any Taglocity groups, you are consenting to share the information with other members of the group. Note that group membership may change from time to time and is controlled by other group members with Manager or Administrator roles.
Note: Enterprise customers can purchase our appliance or server software to privately host Taglocity Groups behind their corporate firewall. so no information would ever be stored in our servers. For more information on enterprise deployment, please contact us at sales@taglocity.com.
Information We Share
Terazen Technology Inc. will not sell or reveal your personal information to third parties unless we have reasonable grounds to believe the information could be useful when investigating a contravention of a federal, provincial or foreign law and the information is used for that investigation or is required by law.
This site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that Terazen Technology Inc. are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Web site.
Technological Safeguards
Personal information contained in Terazen Technology Inc. computers and electronic databases are password protected and encrypted. Access to any of the Terazen Technology Inc. computers also is password protected. Terazen Technology Inc.’s Internet router or server has firewall protection sufficient to protect personal and confidential business information against virus attacks and "sniffer" software arising from Internet activity. Our servers are co-located in professional enterprise grade datacenters with full redundancy and physical security (this means that it is as secure as your bank).
Password creation, transport and storage are encrypted via SSL, so not even Terazen Technology Staff can retrieve such information. The RSS feeds are also encrypted and require user name and password authentication.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is in effect as of January 1, 2008. This policy is subject to amendment and revision from time to time and any changes will be posted on this website. Any changes in the Privacy Policy will apply to personal information collected from the date of the posting of the revised Privacy Policy on the www.taglocity.com website.
By using our site and disclosing information to us you expressly consent to the uses described in this Privacy Policy.
